The eateries are to the right as you return to Attila út, toward Krisztina tér. To your left will be a continuous park-like island, a divider between the two one-way streets (the other street going back toward Erzsébet bridge is the Krisztina körút). You will arrive eventually at the intersection with Alagút utca, a busy extension of the Lánchíd. To your left, the Krisztina park ends, and on the left corner rises a tall building with an OTP Bank office at street level. Turn left one block, and then turn right. The street becomes two-way. The northwest corner is dominated by the bright yellow Krisztina, an unheralded 18th-century church with statues at the entrance and Turkish onion steeples on the roof. Go past the cukrászda (sweet shop), on the right to the Horváth Gösser Étterem, 11 am-9 pm, Mon thru Sat and Sun 11-7 pm. Pay cash for German and Hungarian fare and a good quality bar. The food is in healthy as well as tasty portions. Soccer memorabilia from Puskás Öcsi, the most famous Hungarian soccer player, decorate the walls. It’s a bit crowded, but it’s a place for the locals. Because they don’t cultivate the tourist crowd, here you will find the true modern Hungarian food and drink, at reasonable prices
